The data we receive
What you enter in our forms and emails: your name, email, dates, number of travellers, choices and message. Name and email are required so that we can reply. The rest is optional, but helps us prepare your proposal. Please do not include health or other sensitive data in your message unless your journey requires it: by sending it, you then consent to its use for that journey only. To protect the forms from bots, Cloudflare Turnstile analyses technical data from your browser.
Why
To answer your request, prepare your quotation, organise your journey and protect the site. This relies on pre-contractual steps taken at your request, on performing the contract, and on our legitimate interest in securing the site (Article 17). We do not send marketing and we do not sell your data.
Who receives it
Our team. Resend, which delivers the emails from the forms. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site. If you go ahead, the suppliers of your journey (hotels, carriers, guides), for what concerns them. Our technical providers act on our instructions.
Transfers outside Madagascar
Resend and Cloudflare are American companies, so your data may be processed in the United States or other countries whose level of protection may differ from Madagascar's. These transfers are necessary to answer your request and carry out pre-contractual steps or the contract (Article 20).
How long
A request that goes no further: 3 years after our last exchange. A booked journey: the length of the contract, then as long as our legal and accounting obligations require. An unsent form stays in your browser and never reaches us.
Security
We take appropriate precautions to protect your data against loss, alteration, disclosure or unauthorised access.
Your rights
You may find out whether we hold data about you and obtain a free copy. You may have it corrected, completed, updated, locked or erased when it is inaccurate, out of date or prohibited. You may object to its processing on legitimate grounds, and to marketing without giving a reason (Articles 22 to 25). Write to hello@tantaravao.com, proving your identity where necessary. You may also refer the matter to the Commission Malagasy de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CMIL).
